SEATTLE, WA, October 16, 2014 -- Cogent Growth Partners, LLC (Cogent) announced today that they advised BlackPoint II Services, Inc. (BlackPoint), a Seattle-based provider of IT consulting, cloud services, business communications services and managed services for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), on its recently announced acquisition of Nextpoint Information Systems LLC (Nextpoint), a Seattle, WA area IT and managed services solution provider to SMBs. The transaction was effective for October 16, 2014.
Like BlackPoint, Nextpoint offers customized IT solutions to the SMB community while focusing on customer service and relationship building. Nextpoint’s customer base will now have access to a broader range of technology solutions, expertise, and highly trained engineers on top of the high level of service and people they currently enjoy with Nextpoint.
With this acquisition, BlackPoint has approximately 100 employees across their offices in Seattle, WA and Portland, Oregon. The transaction also adds a strategic boost to their managed services revenue, strengthens their managed services sales team and builds continued diversity in the types of industries they serve in the Seattle market.
“The key to any acquisition plan is to have achievable goals and criteria that allow you to find the right candidate to meet those specifications as closely as possible,” stated George Sierchio, Vice President and Senior Partner at Cogent. “This transaction embodies that theory and Cogent is proud to be part of its entire process from finding that right fit for BlackPoint in Nextpoint to performing the deal intermediary role through the successful close.”
