March 27, 2012 (New York, NY): Cogent Growth Partners, LLC (Cogent) announced today that they advised Altuscio Networks (Altuscio), a 10 year old Atlanta-based full service Information Technology (IT) outsourcing company supporting small and medium sized business throughout the greater Atlanta area, on their merger with The IT Consulting Group (ITCG), an Atlanta based IT solutions firm. The deal was effective January 6, 2012
According to Rick Murphy, a Managing Partner at Cogent, “We strive to put solid businesses together to form one company that quickly realizes better margins, service offerings and client satisfaction while leveraging economies of scale. This transaction is a terrific example of how an M&A process, done the correct way, makes that happen.”
In regards to this merger, Mr. Ben Silliman, founder and CEO of Altuscio said, "During the first three quarters of 2011, we were focused, behind the scenes, on honing operations to further improve our ability to provide superior service to our existing clients, while also focusing on developing relationships with new customers and working with them so they could get to know us.” Silliman added, “At the same time, we were getting prepared to grow our overall business through our ongoing merger activities, by making sure our back office and technical operations can easily handle increasing workflow, service requests and so forth.”
Silliman continued, “We look forward to focusing all of our efforts on servicing our new clients’ needs and continually enhancing our product suites to best serve all Altuscio customers’ day-to-day IT needs proactively.”
Cogent is delighted to have been a key component in turning these two well run Atlanta area IT service firms into one highly efficient entity by providing their M&A process and deal flow expertise. The combined business operations and a number of new technologies, like AltuCloud? hosted IT solutions, are now fully available to the ITCG clients. As one, the companies are focused on providing an even greater level of IT support and customer service, utilizing a broader and more refined product suite, while also adding continued value to the business as a whole.
